Why Are the Floors of My Home Different Temperatures?

When you have a whole house heating and air conditioning system, you would think that you’d be able to live comfortably in your home, throughout the year, regardless of where in your home you may be at any given moment. This is precisely what makes uneven heating and cooling in one’s home so frustrating. If you are unable to heat or cool your home consistently throughout, then you may require heating or cooling repair services in Portsmouth, VA. When you do, make sure that it is our number that you dial. Whatever the problem may be, you can count on the technicians at House Call Company to resolve it completely.

Refrigerant Leaks

If you are not able to cool your home evenly throughout,  or if you heat your home with a heat pump and have the same problem during the heating season, it may well be due to a refrigerant leak in the system. Having the right amount of refrigerant in your AC or heat pump is necessary in order to ensure the success of the refrigerant cycle and heat transfer process. Refrigerant is not consumed by your system, but rather recycled. That is why low levels suggest a leak.

Damaged Ductwork

If you use ductwork in order to distribute heated and/or cooled air throughout your home, then you really must know for certain that your air ducts are in fine working order. All of the air conditioned by your system(s), after all, will circulate through these ducts. Only a trained professional can pinpoint the source of trouble with your ductwork in order to resolve the problem successfully.

Undersized Equipment

If you have a system that is in fine working condition, but it is still unable to heat and/or cool your home successfully and evenly, you may simply have a system that is too small for your needs. Hopefully this is not the case, as replacing the system with an appropriately sized one is really the only solution. Contact us for more information.
